theScribe is the ideal tool to play your MXF and GXF files in your desktop.
It allows you to annotate any MXF files with rich metadata descriptions enabling you to organise your assets and to quickly integrate your MXF devices in your workflow.

theScribe Pro
theScribe Pro is the right solution to manipulate your MXF files in your workflow in addition to all the features of theScribe Lite.
It enables you to create new MXF files (and update existing ones) with rich metadata descriptions, synchronized with the audio-visual material and fully compliant with DMS-1 (SMPTE S380M), including a set of functions and wizards to cut, convert MXF files and export the results to an extensive range of devices and NLEs. theScribe features Sony XDCAM/e-VTR, Panasonic P2, Ikegami EditCam, Grass Valley InfinityMXF support.

To playback certain MXF files in theScribe it is required to have installed in the computer the appropriate codecs. In case they are not installed, theScribe will allow preview of the file metadata but will display information stating that it will not playback the MXF file. For example, in case opening a IMX XDCAM file you should have the MPEG-2 Codec; for the Proxy XDCAM file install the MPEG-4 Codec and for playback of P2 files have the DVCPRO HD Codec installed. In case you have any doubt in selecting the appropriate codec to playback a certain MXF file please contact us at sales@mog-solutions.com The evaluation version of theScribe LITE/PRO will contain evaluation versions of the MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 Codecs. MPEG-2 Codec Package for theScribe
This codec Package enables theScribe to playback the essence contained in MXF files based in this codec. Examples of these kind of files are produced by IMX Sony XDCAM/e-VTR, Ikegami Editcam, Omneon Spectrum Media Server, Thomson Grass Valley K2 Media Server and Infinity, Quantel sQ and Matrox boards.
Please note that this codec package only works if you have installed theScribe LITE or PRO! |
